Why Bentonite Clay for Cat Litter?
Bentonite is a naturally occurring clay with highly absorbent properties. It quickly absorbs liquid (urine) and has a remarkable ability to absorb 3.5 times its weight. It is drying and anti-bacterial which prevents any bacteria from spreading as well as liquid from seeping.
Other kinds of clay or sand have really poor liquid absorption, causing moisture from spreading in the entire litter tray and dirtying the unused litter.
